Delft blue tile with the saying "Friendship, like wine, gets better with age" This Delft blue tile has the classic Delft blue flower decoration as a corner motif. Saying tiles with wisdom date back to the 15th century and were mainly combined with images and texts from the Bible. Later, humorous sayings were mainly put on the tiles and the term Tegeltjeswijsheid (Tile wisdom) came into being. The size of this decorative tile is 15 x 15 cm. This tile was handcrafted in a Dutch pottery in South Holland.
