Delftware
The authentic Dutch Delft blue porcelain is also known as Delftware outside the Netherlands. Delft blue pottery was increasingly seen as an art form due to the beautiful artisanal paintings on the pottery. Painters signed their works with initials and signs used by the pottery factory they worked for.

Pottery bakeries in the Netherlands
Around the Golden Age there were dozens of pottery factories in the Netherlands. These factories were spread all over the Netherlands, and not just in Delft. Delft pottery is not tied to the place of Delft, but to the technique used of the special Delft blue color on white pottery.
